Writing Chart for Appropriate Strokes

For children to become proficient writers, the eye must be trained to move top-to-bottom, left-to-right. Writing strokes must also follow this correct pattern, in order for children to eventually become proficient CURSIVE writers. Therefore, the South Hills staff requests that parents support our work with your children by also following the correct stroke progression. The Zaner Bloser chart included here clearly shows the numbered progression of strokes, as well as the direction of the stroke.
